美国口语问题，高手进！*字典查不到*
I am reading a dairy wrote by a native american,so I am confused by some words&idioms,could somebody help?
1,what's "santa shindig"?it seems like a holiday,but I can find out useful things out.
2,what does "preppy" mean?I cannot find it in the dictionary.
3,what does "convo" mean?it seems like "body/physical touch",but dictionary doesn't tell,all my assumption.

These 'preppy' student are known to be athletic and outgoing.

3. Convo is not a word. It could be short for anything. Maybe a conversation or a car that is a convertible or a convent or something.

I guess:
1."santa shindig" means a party for Christmas day.
2."preppy" means the full prep for doing something.
3. "convo" means convocation. -
